TERMS & CONDITIONS
These Terms and Conditions shall apply to all contracts and agreements between Chameleon Bedrooms and Kitchens limited, hereafter called the company and the customer.
I. Definitions
a. The customer shall mean the purchaser.
b The goods shall mean the items for the sale specified in the order drawing
c.The order is the plan view of the drawing supplied by the company.
d.The company shall mean Chameleon Bedrooms and Kitchens Limited and registered in England No 6760970.
2 Termination/Cancellation
Some of the goods specified in the order are purpose made. The customer has no right to terminate or cancel the order other than those rights reserve by statute.
3. Alterations to order
a. The goods will be made to the specification contained in the order drawing
b Alterations will not be accepted less than fourteen days prior to the delivery/installation/collection date reserved.
c. All alterations to order must be confirmed in writing to the customer by the company or vice versa. If written confirmation is not made then no alteration will take place.
4. Collection/Delivery/Installation date
The goods are scheduled for collection/delivery/installation normally at the time of sale for a specific date. Should the customer wish to alter the date they should expect to be moved to the back of the companies order schedule
5 Payment Terms
50% of the total sale price must be paid in full when the order is placed The balance must be paid in full on completion.
6 Redecoration
If the goods are part of a redecoration scheme the customer is advised to carry out any wall covering after installation of goods If floor covering is in place on the scheduled installation date then the goods will be fitted over the floor covering This does not affect the quality of installation in any way.
7. Completion
The company endeavours to complete work in a reasonable time. This is not the essence of the contract.
8. Access
The customer will give access to the company's personnel in order to deliver/install the goods or to carry out remedial work required.
9. VAT
Value added tax will be charged at the rate applicable at the time of order.
10. Glass and Mirrors
The company cannot be held responsible for slight imperfections inherent in the manufacture of real glass products
II. Colours
Exact colour/shade cannot be guaranteed. Exact colour/shade is not the essence in the contract
12. Installation
a. Installation will be carried out utilizing the same techniques and methods as shown in the company's literature, brochures and showroom.
b. Panels over 2440mm will be joined.
c Panels scribed at both ends may be joined regardless of size.
13. Product range revision
The company continually seeks to improve its products.
The company reserves the right to alter, delete or add any item, colour, style, finish, component or service without prior notice.
14. Guarantee
The company will replace any defective items or components without charge for 5 years providing the product is still available and within our range Electrical items come with their own manufacturers guarantee and so therefore are not within our own guarantee.
In the unlikely event of any item being damaged prior to or during installation the company will replace the item or component thereof without charge provided the company is informed of such damage within 7 days of the installation date.
Items reported outside this 7 day period will be replaced on a chargeable basis This does not affect the guarantee in respect of defective material. Extensive heat may cause damage to vinyl surfaces, extreme care should be taken when using toasters, kettles and standing water especially over worktop joint areas Worktop joints will be fitted according to manufacturers specification; they cannot be guaranteed.
